South Africa's answer to Champagne, this Cap Classique from Journey's End is refreshing, crisp and clean. Made from 33% Chardonnay, 1% Pinot Meunier and 66% Pinot Noir, and a minimum of 18 months on the lees, this is a very nicely made bottle of sparkling wine.

Tasting Notes

  • Colour - Pale gold.
  • Nose - Green apples and citrus.
  • Palate - Pear, peach and apricot flavours. Full bodied with a complex mid palate and refreshing finish.
  • 11.5% ABV

Vineyard Information

In 1996 the Gabb family, originally from Shropshire, fell in love with this picturesque wine farm, restoring it to what it is now - 40 hectares of beautiful vineyards nestled amongst the Schapenberg hills benefitting from the cooling south-easterly wind, known as the "Cape Doctor", which comes in the nearby False Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

As well as being WIETA and IPW accredited, Journey's End converted to solar power in 2014 and the farm became fully Fairtrade certified from April 2017.
